PowerShell snap-in is not working

Hello Community

Windows Powershell 2.0 and SharePoint 2010 is displaying the message:

"The Windows PowerShell snap-in Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell is not
installed on this machine.  Windows Powershell doesn't load command from
current location by default"

Basically I put a PowerShell script on Windows 2008 Server Enterprise
and I am trying to run the script from the cript from PowerShell ISE
but the error is displayed when the script is run from the command line.

The first line of the script is:

"Add-PSSnapin Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell"

As soon as it sees that line it displays the error message.

How can I run PowerShell scripts for SharePoint 2010 on Windows 2008 Server
Enterprise using Windows PowerShell ISE (or command line)?

Fyi, non-SharePoint commands do execute in the ISE and command line.

    Thank you
    Shabeaut
