well I was wondering why i can't just copy over the actual files into the '08 server and reopen powershell...
i was trying to import the TrustedPlatformModule from win8/server 2012 into a win7/server08... thought if they were both running the same Microsoft management framework 3.0 it would try to work... but i keep getting an error.
running "import-module TrustedPlatformModule" returns:
"the module to process "microsoft.tpm.commands', listed in the field 'moduletoprocess/rootmodule/ of module manifest... ... was not processed because no valid module was found in any module directory.
i even tried copying over the entire c:\windows\system32\windowspowershell\v1.0 directory... same error. not sure where this file lives...
i haven't seen anyone really try this yet, but was wondering if any of you gurus have any... 'workarounds' :)
(not looking for a supported version... just need to call some cmdlets that aren't in '08 (arghh))
